IrrigationNZ is the representative body for New Zealand’s irrigation sector. With over 3,600 members and an engagement programme that reaches farmers, politicians, researchers, water industry participants and the public, we work proactively on behalf of our members.

One of the many vehicles used by IrrigationNZ to bring together irrigators, their service industries and other stakeholders to debate and find solutions to topical issues, is its biennial conference.

In 2018 the Conference will be held from the 17–19 April in Alexandra. The IrrigationNZ Conference and Expo will attract over 450 attendees representing a wide range of sectors. It will explore the role of irrigation in Central Otago as well as tackle the numerous challenges facing the irrigation community.

IrrigationNZ is excited to bring our 2018 conference to Alexandra. The Central Otago region is rich in irrigation history and clearly demonstrates the benefits irrigation brings to communities. Fresh food, jobs, improved river flows and recreational opportunities have all been outcomes from on-going investment in water infrastructure. We look forward to providing more detail around our programme and speakers in the coming months.

Conference sessions will be complemented with an Industry Trade Exhibition, Networking Happy Hour, Delegate Breakfast and Conference Dinner.

Registrations opened in October… so if you are involved in the management of water, whether it’s on-farm, scheme, infrastructure development, research or policy, this conference is an absolute MUST!
